Terms of Service

Effective 21 August 2026

1 · Who we are

Hakken is operated by Eigenstack Pty Ltd (ACN 697 589 969), based in Zetland, NSW, Australia (“Hakken”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using hakken.me you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Questions: hello@hakken.me.

2 · The service

Hakken builds personalised courses with the help of AI: it interviews you about your goals, generates a course, and adapts it as you learn. The service is in open beta — seats are released in limited batches, features change, and usage limits (messages, voice minutes, audio, podcast episodes, course sizes) apply so the service stays fast and affordable for everyone. We may adjust those limits over time.

3 · Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hakken. Keep your sign in details to yourself, give us accurate information, and use one account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

4 · Acceptable use

Use Hakken for learning, lawfully. Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the service; don't work around usage limits or the invite gate; don't use it to generate content that is illegal or harmful to others; don't scrape or bulk-extract content; and don't resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.

5 · AI-generated content

Courses, lessons, audio, and tutor replies are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Hakken is a learning tool, not professional advice — don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without checking a qualified source.

6 · Your content and ours

What you tell Hakken stays yours. You give us the licence we need to store and process it in order to run the service for you and improve it, as described in our privacy policy — we do not use your data to train AI models. The courses Hakken generates for you are yours to use for your own learning; the Hakken software, design, and brand remain ours.

7 · Fees

Hakken is free during the beta. If that changes, we'll tell you clearly before anything is charged.

8 · Availability and changes

This is a beta: we don't promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, pause, or discontinue features. If we ever shut down the service, we'll give you reasonable notice to retrieve your content.

9 · Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. Beyond those rights, the service is provided as is, and our total liability for anything arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD 50 if you paid nothing).

10 · Ending things

You can stop using Hakken at any time and ask us to delete your account and data at hello@hakken.me. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

11 · Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll let you know — by email or a notice on the site — before they take effect. Continuing to use Hakken after that means you accept the updated terms.

12 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes belong to the courts of New South Wales.
